Can anyone help a good friend of mine? As many of you will have seen when training along the A168 south of Thirsk there is a farm which sells pigeon corn. The couple that live here are two of the most genuine people you could ever meet in pigeon racing. Last Sunday someone called at the farm to buy corn and did not only leave with corn but stole the couples Jack Russell terrier. It is believed that the man is from Middlesbrough although ... |

The Up North Combine staged an extra race this season; the Eastbourne Yearling National with a total prize money of £5,886.00, with the race taking place on Saturday 5th July when chief convoyer Steve Profitt liberated the convoy of 5,886 birds at 6.25am in a South West wind. Saturday 28th June saw the Up North Combine chief convoyer Steve Profitt liberate a convoy of 20,472 from the Folkestone (2) National at 8.00am in a West wind. 1st UNC was won by the very popular Mr & Mrs Harry Chappell of Easington Lane, with the couple’s Gold Medal winner being a yearling recording a Combine winning vel of 1414.1
