If you can remember a couple of months ago I reported on the loft fire of Steve Sanderson of Lingdale, East Cleveland, where the lad lost his lofts and birds in the blaze. Skelton Green Homing Society held a charity evening at the North Skelton Workingmens Club on Friday 27th March, the event was in memoery of former Clubmate Angie Thompson who lost her battle for life a few weeks previous. All the proceeds of the night were going to be donated to the Ann Charlton Lodge, Multiple Sclerosis Redcar where Angie had been a resident for some time.

In the early hours of Wednesday 8th April the lofts of Steve Sanderson of Lingdale were set alight , All eighty birds the were housed in the three lofts perished in the blaze , Steve who lives with his wife Kendra and three children over the road from the Lingdale allotments woke in the early hours to see blue flashing lights coming from the gardens
